Vendor Outlook 2015
19-11-2015 :: Eindhoven, The Netherlands

Organizer: Shared EDA

On Thursday November 19th 2015 Shared EDA will present a range of software tools for the electronic design industry that are candidate to be made available via Shared EDA.

Shared EDA is a non-profit association dedicated to strengthen the EDA ecosystem. Via Shared EDA Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools can be collectively purchased at a highly discounted price and with many extra perks and advantages.

Shared EDA s license offering includes the EDA tools of Mentor Graphics. At this Vendor Outlook event Ansys, Calypto and OpenText will present some of their flagship tools to you. See the overview below which tools are highlighted.

At this event you can learn about these tools and the problems they can help you solve. Shared EDA can help you to gain access to these tools at better conditions.

ANSYS

AnsysIn high speed and mixed signal design, there is a need to consider more physical effects on package and PCB. ANSYS 3D electromagnetic software suite analyzes all the parasitic effects. From high pin count BGA to RF packages, ANSYS software extracts S parameters, impedance, RLC models and lets you see the impact on both frequency and time domains:

ANSYS SIwave can deliver resonant mode analysis, IR drop, impact of decoupling capacitors and optimization, impedance, reflection and transmission analysis. The ANSYS HFSS solver delivers extra accuracy on RF parts or non standard designs. Parametric capability on stack up, padstack and trace profile allow the user to investigate optimum and less sensitive designs.

ANSYS HFSS can also be used on antenna design and integration. The design can be drawn or imported as planar and full 3D model. The design parameters can be optimized, while antenna matching and antenna patterns are computed. Adaptive Finite Element meshing and continuous HFSS solver performance improvements allow to rapidly design with confidence. Active components and circuit models complement HFSS for full system simulation.

Calypto

CalyptoCalypto Design Systems family of products enables ASIC, SOC and FPGA designers to quickly create fully-verified, power-optimized RTL for downstream synthesis and physical design.

With Calypto s Catapult High-Level Synthesis products, designers have the option of using SystemC or C++ to dramatically shorten the design cycle by producing correct-by-construction, error-free, PPA optimized RTL.

Calypto’s PowerPro product line enables users to analyze both static and dynamic power usage at RTL and either automatically or manually create a power optimized RTL that includes memory and leakage power optimization.

The SLECTM family of products formally verifies the complete RTL without the need for time consuming simulation and complex testbenches. The end result is dramatic reduction in time to market with up to 60% reduction in power usage.

Calypto was recently acquired by Mentor Graphics.

OpenText

OpenTextExceed Virtual Access family of products provide remote access to your UNIX desktops and applications, enhancing performance and security on an array of devices while maintaining strict IT control.

The most advanced UNIX desktop virtualization solution available, Exceed VA TurboX empowers a global workforce though remote application access and providing a paramount user experience that improves performance and productivity.

Exceed onDemand is a thin-client based solution that runs on IBM, HP, and Oracle UNIX/Linuxservers. It can dependably and securely connect users to remote UNIX applications over any network using any device.
