All detailed information

Taiwan has been identified as one of the promising regions outside Europe for companies active on the value chain of micro- and nanotechnology, ICT or smart systems. Although Taiwan may be less known to various regions in Europe than China or the United States, Taiwan offer a large potential of opportunities for the European ICT industry. In particular, Taiwan is renowned for the production of competitive ICT hardware coupled to being the world’s largest producer of semiconductor components. Also Taiwan realizes that innovation, the source of prosperity is becoming a global activity. Development of solutions for tomorrow’s challenges in health, mobility, smart industry, smart agriculture, energy efficiency and communication/big data has led to changes in Governmental industrial policy towards more vertically and globally integrated value chains. To broaden the scope of Taiwanese companies, traditionally aiming at the United States and mainland China, the government also stimulates companies to explore the possibilities on European markets. One of the instruments here is a financial support to companies that join the European H2020 innovation program. All in all, this means that Taiwan is a more than interesting and promising region to explore for new commercial contacts.

Therefore DSP Valley gladly invites you to join a mission to Taiwan to attend the European Innovation Week. The European Innovation Week in Taiwan is co-organized by Silicon Europe Worldwide. The European Innovation Week offers you a broad program including many opportunities to get acquainted with a manifold of Taiwanese companies, institutes and organizations. The Computex, the largest Asian ICT fair and counterpart of the CES, will be the venue for the event.

Silicon Europe Worldwide is  the brand used by the Silicon Europe Alliance for her activities outside Europe. The Silicon Europe Alliance is a collaboration by the leading European clusters on micro- and nano-electronics. This collaboration supports and promotes the member companies and organizations on activities both inside Europe as globally. DSP Valley is partner of the Silicon Europe Alliance, since end 2015 the formal continuation of the EC-funded Silicon Europe project on cluster collaboration. Currently the Alliance counts 12 members from 10 European regions and represents over 2000 companies and institutes.
