Launch of the Lab-on-chip/diagnostics platform
31-01-2017 :: RE:flex hub, zaal NOVIGO Mechelen Campus SchaliŽnhoevedreef 20T 2800 Mechelen

Organizer: DSP Valley and Flanders Bio

The Future of Health Technology: Digital and Life Sciences team up

Among the many possible innovations in the health and healthcare domain, the highest potential is believed to lie in these applications integrating the Key Enabling Technologies of biotechnology and digital technologies. After the successful launch on November 25th of FlandersBio and DSP Valley’s joint effort into the future of Health technologies, we launch 3 separate platforms on:

  • lab-on-chip (January 31st)
  • (bio)medical imaging (February 21st)
  • smart implants (March 28th),

The first one of a series of platform meetings will be organised on 31 January 2017 on the topic of Lab on a Chip and Diagnostics.

During this lunch meeting (sandwich lunch at 11:30, start meeting at 12:00, foreseen end at approximately 14:00) you will be asked to shortly (5’) present your company or research department and highlight your specific expertise and interest in the platform. These presentations will be followed by a discussion round on specific topics where companies and academia could work together.

Do your activities fit into the value chain of lab-on-chip and diagnostics? Then join us in building the platform and register here before January 25.

In the foreseen time we expect to be able to schedule 12 presentations selected on a “first come first served” basis. Other interested parties will be able to present at a next platform meeting. If, in addition, you have a project or research idea you wish to present, please let us know also before January 25.

Change of location

Due to the large turnout (>60 registrations) we had to look for an alternative location. The meeting will now take place at the RE:flex hub building on the same business park where Biocartis is housed. So the meeting itself will NOT take place in the Biocartis offices, but at a location at walking distance from the company.
