Artificial Intelligence Applied in Industry (AIAI): Deep Learning and Anomaly Detection
12-09-2019 :: KU Leuven, Campus De Nayer, Sint-Katelijne-Waver

Organizer: KU Leuven, campus De Nayer

Are you looking for down-to-earth, practical information on state-of-the-art AI technology? Perhaps you have been disappointed in the past by either vague AI prophecies for the future, or by old BI technology that was simply rebranded with "AI Inside".  By contrast, this symposium focuses on the concrete business value that AI can provide for you already today. You will hear about industrial use cases, built on the latest technological and scientific state-of-the-art.

The symposium is built around two topics. First, it addresses applications of Deep Learning, the driving force behind recent innovations in computer vision, natural language processing, and many other domains. Second, we also discuss the analysis of time series data, with a specific focus on anomaly detection. This is a key task for many companies, who wish to monitor their production or business processes in a (semi-)automated way.

The symposium is organised by the research groups DTAI and EAVISE of KU Leuven, together with a consortium of more than 20 industrial partners. Our collaboration is funded by the Flemish Agency for Innovation and Entrepreneurship as part of the Technology Transfer projects "Intelligent Analysis of Time Series" and "Start to Deep Learn". This industrial-academic cooperation ensures that the most up-to-date technology is used to address the most industrially relevant use cases.
