Visionary Seminar on technology acceptance in industry
03-03-2020 :: Leuven

Organizer: Leuven Mindgate & imec

We are experiencing an ever faster introduction of new technologies in factories and logistics. Driven by the industry 4.0 trend, digitalization, smart sensors, data analytics, artificial intelligence, flexible automation, etc. are quickly invading the work floor.

However, when introducing these new technologies, the human factor is often overlooked with dramatic consequences: a large fraction of technological innovations fail because of employee resistance. Also, recent studies point to a growing “technostress” experienced by factory workers.
In this visionary seminar we will explore a different future where we innovate at an increasingly faster pace by including the human aspects in technological innovations.
Three elements are key to achieve this goal: demystification, employee involvement and new organizational models.
